700 years of brewing tradition Nuremberg red beer

This combined tour is literally all about the art of Nuremberg brewing. This exciting and enjoyable long format combines our red beer tour in the Felsengänge with a thematically corresponding tour of the Old Town. On this tour, you will learn even more about the beer and hop trade, beer gravelers, master brewers and co.

Our tour ‘700 years of Nuremberg red beer brewing tradition’ begins at the Altstadthof brewery. The original Nuremberg red beer was and is brewed (again) at this historic location. After a brief introduction to the history of beer, the tour continues with a walk through the Old Town via Weißgerbergasse, Kettensteg, Fleischbrücke and Hauptmarkt.

Albrecht Dürer’s statue himself finally shows us the way into the labyrinth of cellars in the historic rocky passages. Our entertaining history lesson continues there before we reach our rustic red beer brewery again. At the end of our combined tour ‘700 Years of Nuremberg Red Beer Brewing Tradition’, you can also try the legendary brewing speciality during a small beer tasting.
