700 years of brewing tradition Nuremberg red beer

This combined tour literally takes you on a whirlwind tour of Nuremberg’s brewing tradition. This exciting and entertaining long-format tour combines our red beer tour in the rock-cut cellars with a thematically corresponding tour of the old town. On this tour, you will learn even more about the topics of beer and hop trading, beer gravel, master brewers and more.

Our tour ‘700 Years of Nuremberg Red Beer Brewing Tradition’ begins at the Altstadthof brewery. The original Nuremberg red beer was and is brewed at this historic location. After a brief introduction to the history of beer, we continue with a walk through the old town via Weißgerbergasse, Kettensteg, Fleischbrücke and Hauptmarkt.

Albrecht Dürer’s statue himself finally shows us the way to the extensive labyrinth of cellars in the historic rock-cut cellars. There, our entertaining history lesson continues before we return to our rustic red beer brewery. At the end of our combined tour ‘700 Years of Nuremberg Red Beer Brewing Tradition’, you can also try the legendary brew during a small beer tasting.
