Brandl & Schmitt

Blues concert in the historic rock corridors

23 June 18:30

Klaus Brandl, (Git, Voc) and Chris Schmitt, (Harp, Voc) – two veterans of the local blues scene descend deep into the city’s stone labyrinth on 23 June 2024.

The place where beer was cooled for centuries and where people found refuge in the hail of bombs during the Second World War. A symbolic place – also for the two thoroughbred musicians to return to their own roots.

A unique event to listen to Blues, Ballads & Beyond – in an atmosphere steeped in history – in the historic rock corridors of Nuremberg. Dress warmly!

Duo Arima – „So you are my fear?“

Concert

25 February, 7 pm

We live in the ‘age of anxiety’ – anxiety disorders are among the most common mental illnesses in our modern society and, despite all the repression and coping strategies, anxiety remains a constant companion of mankind.
‘So you are my anxiety?’ is a multimedia concert concept by concert designer Alexandra Vildosola.
The duo Arima, consisting of Caroline Spengler (viola) and Mona Ernst (violoncello), goes on a confrontation course with (their own) fear, its many faces and personal effects, taking the audience on a journey through musical panic attacks and deafening silence, only to end up knowing fear instead of fearing it.
The young ensemble’s debut concert will be supported by projections by video artist Joanna Maxellon and composer Paulina Sofie Kiss with the commissioned composition ‘Spiralen’.

Momoshi’s underground street art universe

Vernissage

5 November, 6 pm

Immerse yourself in Momoshi’s underground street art universe! Impressive works await you at our vernissage in the mystical Nuremberg rock corridors: sculptures, paintings and projections that capture Momoshi’s very own mythology. This time, Momoshi – exactly 500 years younger than Dürer – also draws some of his artistic inspiration from medieval Nuremberg.
The DJ couple ‘Studio Wolny’ will provide the right groove with soulful beats.
The exhibition can be visited until mid-December as part of the regular guided tours.

Admission: 10 euros

El Mago Masin

8 October 2023

Nuremberg comedian, singer-songwriter and author El Mago Masin is coming to the fourth floor with a programme specially tailored to the underworld.

Get out of everyday life and into the historic rock cellars in the depths of Nuremberg and the curious cosmos of El Mago Masin!

WORTimAKKORD

24 September 2023
