General information on the guided tours

What you should think of when visiting the rock-cut cellars

The whole year, temperatures in the rock-cut cellars are as cold as 8 to 12° Celsius. Please put on appropriate clothing, so that you do not feel cold during the tour.

In order to take part in a tour, you should be a fairly good walker. Some stairs must be taken and the floors in the corridors are sometimes rough. Please also put on convenient and sturdy shoes.


Tours usually take 60 - 75 minutes on the average and start daily at 11, 13, 15, and 17 o'clock. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are extra tours starting at 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 o'clock. The regular english tours are always on saturday and  sundays at 11:15 a.m..

Please note that on some legal holidays only a limited number of tours is offered:

Christmas eve: 24.12.: 11, 13  o'clock
First and second christmasday: 25.12./26.12.: 11, 13, 15, 17 o'clock
New Years's Eve: 31.12.: only 11 and 13 o'clock
New Year's Day: only 15 and 17 o'clock
Carnival Monday: only 11 and 13 o'clock
Good Friday: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 o'clock
Easter Sunday: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 o'clock
White Sunday: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 o'clock

Admission for regular tours:

 

  • Adults: 8 €, reduced admission: 7 € (pupils and students)
  • Free admission for children under the age of 7 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
